Mary Lou Geoffroy was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in January of 2009. At the end of 2009 her condition deteriorated and ultimately was admitted to Mass General Hospital in Mid December. After numerous tests and 3 weeks at the hospital, the diagnosis of Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis was confirmed. In January of 2010, Mary Lou was placed on the lung transplant list in the Northeast Region with Mass General Hospital as the primary hospital. On June 12 of 2011, Mary Lou received a call from Mass General Hospital with the possibility of a donor for a double lung transplant and subsequently received a double lung transplant on June 13th, 2011 . Unfortunately, due to complications while in the hospital, Mary Lou Geoffroy died on December 18, 2011. We shall long remember one of the founders of our benevolent organization and a beautiful wife.

Ed was a long time Westwood, Massachusetts resident, who served his country in the Army National Guard. He also served the town of Westwood as a police officer and firefighter prior to his retirement. He is most known for the logo on his trucking company’s trucks, “Brown’s In Town “.
Ed was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2010. Upon which he immediately qualified to be placed on the Mass General Hospital Transplant list. He received his call for his new lung on February 17, 2012 and had his transplant on the 18th. He fought a long hard battle dealing with many complications along the way and passed peacefully on July 2, 2013.
